2018 Felt Bicycles F1x

Engineered for the most punishing conditions of cyclocross, the F1x is the pinnacle of the Fx family and the choice of World Champion Wout Van Aert. By removing the seat-stay bridge, Felt engineers were able to increase tire clearance while maintaining lateral stiffness from a wider BB386 bottom bracket. The frame is both incredibly responsive and exceptionally durable thanks to its UHC Advanced + TeXtreme construction, which features internal routing and comes equipped with a SRAM Force CX1 drivtrain with hydraulic disc brakes. Other top-shelf components include a Quarq Prime Carbon crankset, 3T handlebar, stem, and seatpost and DT Swiss wheelset with Schwalbe X-One tires.

    Comments:

The Felt F1X is probably the most fun bike I own among a collection of 6 beauties. It's not the lightest, it's not the burliest, it's just the most versatile — and that makes every ride fun. I love to do mixed-terrain rides where I crank at 20-30 mph on the road, tackle dirt or gravel-strewn roads and even take on a more technical trail or two at the end or the middle. I don't feel like I'm being held back at any point. It's just about as fast as my ProTour-worthy road bike and it only spots it 3 pounds. It's not as durable as my mountain bike but it's A LOT faster on the road and across light trail (which is a lot of terrain). And, if you haven't tried cross racing, treat yourself. It's a blast! The races are short and the atmosphere is awesome. The Felt has a lot of nice touches: an easily shoulderable top tube, race-worthy spec including an Ultegra derailleur, nice cable routing that won't wear against your frame and cushy tape that feels great as you rumble over rough terrain. I didn't know that much about Felt before riding this bike but I'm thoroughly impressed.
